Ciruella is a Juicy, Semi Sweet-Tart fruit, the taste changes as the fruit ripening changes. They become sweeter the more ripe they become. They are more tart when green. Eaten both green and ripe have unique flavors.
Ciruella is a very popular fruit in Central America from which they originate.
How to eat: Ciruella is eaten fresh out of hand, pickled green or eaten while still green with a pinch of salt. It is also used in East Indian cuisine. These will be shipped Green and will ripen to become red if you leave them out on your countertop. Do not eat the seeds.
